AC repair questions
Why is my AC not cooling?
The usual causes are a dirty filter, a failed capacitor, low refrigerant from a leak, or a frozen coil. Change the filter first. If it is still not cooling after an hour, turn it off and call us.
My AC coil is frozen. What should I do?
Turn the AC off and set the fan to "on" so the ice melts. Do not chip at it. Ice usually means low airflow or low refrigerant, and both need a proper check.
